Photography has been my passion for four decades. In addition to photojournalism courses at Langara University, fine art photography courses during my undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia, I have attended many seminars, fine art classes and workshops.
But most important, it's the passion that drives the creative process. From the first time I owned a camera, I was inspired "to see" fine details, patterns, designs, vistas and people in a new way.
Sometimes I was fortunate to incorporate photography into earning a living. Other times, I recorded a lot of family history, weddings, rites of passage, art in nature, and always travel photography.
For roughly three decades I have been closely connected to UBC, either through work or study and have recorded many images of the unique gardens and buildings on the expansive Point Grey Campus.
Besides a modest collection of UBC images, I have a variety of stock photos available from travel to Japan and China in 1977. It seems that a passion for photography and travel go together. My adventures have taken me to Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, India, Tibet, Nepal, Mexico, Hawaii, many European countries, most recently the Netherlands, France, and the U.S.
